Business Analyst

Lightspeed Research is an online market research company based in Basking Ridge, NJ with offices in London and Sydney.

The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for conducting Business Needs Analysis and Requirements Gathering activities. This individual will be a resource in understanding how technology systems carry out business functions.

Responsibilities of this role will include analysis of business processes, assessment of the scope and impact of the business needs, identification and documentation of functional requirements, development of workflow, information resources, process diagrams, distribution paths, gap analysis and system specifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years experience in providing application support and business analysis to end users

Experience in managing projects utilizing standard project management disciplines and tools

Experience in the following areas strongly desired: requirements gathering and analysis, functional documentation, flowcharting, RFP development, and third party vendor management experience

Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must as candidate will be required to interface with non-technical employees in understanding and articulating requirements in written form.

Experience/knowledge of software development lifecycle a plus.

Experience working with UML design also a plus.

Responsibilities:

Work with internal client to collect specifications for changes to existing systems and design of new systems.
Development of use cases and UML diagrams based on specifications.
Develop documentation for new applications as part of deployment.
Daily and weekly development group meetings to coordinate design and development activities along side support issues.
