Responsibilities:

• Monitor proper function of database and related mechanisms; correct as required to satisfy business needs.
• Create and maintain the database schema and associated mechanisms as required. Work with technical and non-technical staff to develop, extend, and maintain production and internal systems, as required.
• Support other staffers. Establish and perform routine tasks, which provide for a highly available database system.
• Analyze, design, develop and implement database and related mechanisms to accommodate new business requirements.
• Using the metrics observed in monitoring, along with additional metrics, develop the plans and make recommendations for the deliberate expansion of system capacity to meet business needs.
• Implement and maintain replication between database servers.
