U.S. Marketing Director
Lightspeed Research (LSR) is a global online market research company based in Basking Ridge, NJ with offices in London and Sydney. LSR is a member of WPP, one of the world's leading communications services groups. We are seeking a professional candidate with five plus years of marketing experience to lead our U.S. marketing department and to support global marketing initiatives. As Marketing Director, you will drive marketing strategies to support our sales growth and corporate goals, and implement our marketing plan.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in marketing communications. A background in or familiarity with the online marketing research industry is a plus. We are looking for a strategic thinker, a multi-tasker, and a proficient writer.
Critical responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing marketing plans and budgets to meet sales and corporate goals
Develop media relations plans in conjunction with SVP Marketing/Product Development and Managing Director, North America, and independently handle execution
Writing marketing materials such as quarterly newsletters, white papers, case studies and collateral
Redesign and update capabilities presentation (PowerPoint deck) for sales team
Maintain Knowledge Management System for sales team
Manage participation and exhibit logistics to showcase LSR at targeted U.S. market research conferences
Ensure LSR is listed/represented in appropriate memberships/directory Listings
Manage and update corporate website
Participate on various strategy teams helping to foster strategic decisions for the company
Manage competitive assessment and analysis
Utilize contact management system to support sales team
Provide ad hoc sales support
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of professional experience in marketing communications industry
- Marketing research industry and internet knowledge and experience is a plus
- International experience is a plus
- Proven track record in managing multiple projects and working in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing skillS
- A portfolio of relevant examples is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline
- Adept with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and the Internet
